Long Ball Competition 2025

The final of the longball tournament was held last Thursday night, Darren Stanton beat Duncan Brownlie 3-1.

This inaugural tournament had 19 entrants.

Thanks to all who entered the tournament and made it down to watch the final.

Match Report

A great match with plenty of hard-fought long rallies. Darren always seemed to edge ahead and despite several comebacks from Dunc, Darren went 2 games up. Excellent determination from Duncan saw him take the 3rd game. Darren's relentless retrieval and consistent good width and length enabled him to close out an excellent final. MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO DARREN.

The next tournament will be the main club championships in April/May where all members are encouraged to enter. ///

It's a great opportunity to see how far you can get or to be humbled by one the top seeds. 😏

There will be a plate tournament for a second chance at glory. 😁
